NAEYC Accreditation

UKids-Guardsman Way Child Care is  accreditated by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).  NAEYC is a national organization that promotes high quality early education.

What does NAEYC accreditation mean?

UKids-Guardsman Way staff and administration work diligently every day to ensure that NAEYC's 10 Standards of a quality program are met.  The 10 standards are:

  1. Relationships
  2. Curriculum
  3. Teaching
  4. Assessment of Child Progress
  5. Health
  6. Teachers
  7. Families
  8. Community Relationships
  9. Physical Environment
  10. Leadership and Management

There are over 400 criteria within these standards that programs must work to meet in order to receive accreditation.  The assessor rates the program based on documentation collected in Program and Classroom Portfolios as well as observation.
